After the monstrous events of September 11, 2001, many people on the Right thought that "the bell was tolling" not only for American innocence and self-confidence, but for American Liberalism as well. After all, didn't the giant pile of rubble and horror stand as a mute, smoldering testament to the fiery Anti American, Anti Moral, Anti Corporate attitudes similarly raging for decades in the hearts of people like Charles Schumer, Gerald Nadler, Barney Frank, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Russ Feingold, the Barbaras Boxer and Mikulski, Maxine Waters, and indeed the ten thousand more just like them who have been heaping abuse and manure on America for the last six (or more) decades? Who, in their right mind, could possibly continue promoting ideas and policies that have so obviously trained people like Osama Bin Laden that hating America is not only okay, but also chic and most welcome? It seemed obvious that racial warfare, class warfare, and cultural warfare were obsolete, too much anger directed at America itself in the face of a greater cultural anger which made this country (even with all it's injustices) seem pretty good by comparison. In one tragic morning, America became the best place on Earth. As American citizens, we were (each and all of us) better than the bad things that others had said about us for so long; and as individuals, we saw each others' merits instead of faults, maybe for the first time. We all seemed possessed of a mysterious, mutual goodwill. Even at the supermarket level, people were remarkably polite and deliberately accommodating. We didn't look like villains to each other any more.

Naive Conservatives everywhere thought, "Whew! The Liberals are finally done with it! They can't possibly hate America any more. They have to defend it now, or seem like traitors. And, of course, they're not traitors. Now we can all pull together like good patriots!"

But, as we all should know by now, nothing lasts forever. In fact, the Liberals only stopped their usual seditious America bashing for about a week.

On all the live call-in shows (like those on C-Span and NPR), the attack started up quietly with innocuous little comments like "America created the Taliban," and "We've got to understand how the terrorists feel about us," but quickly snowballed into wilder accusations like "George Bush engineered this catastrophe so he could raid and destroy Social Security!!" and "This war on terrorism is just another evil Christian Crusade!"

As the next 3 weeks passed, they turned up the vitriol with even more fanciful notions: "It's all about OIL!! Because Bush's father made oil deals in that part of the world, King George W. (the unelected president) is now paying back his evil oil buddies for their campaign contributions, just so they can build a pipeline in Afghanistan!!" and "As long as America pursues a Corporate agenda, the victims of global Capitalism are obliged to strike back!"

Of course, it was all rather tame, and according to the average Conservative, more amusing than effective; old, wheezing, partisan, anti-Corporate Socialist themes long dismissed as immature and foolish. Indeed, if only that were the safe, secure end of it instead of the spooky, dangerous beginning.

Yet, today, three months after the single most anti-American act in history, the Leftist Democratic Activists have finally abandoned their phony patriotic facade in favor of a return to their usual nasty "Hate America First" agenda. Whipping up anti-American fervor at every opportunity, ready to heap their most virulent indignation and abuse on the greatest country in history, (the very country which feeds, clothes, and houses them, which educates them from cradle to Ph.D.), they've thrown off any semblance of fair play and have chosen instead to dominate every single call-in line, on every single call-in show, all day long, every single day, saying the most horrific things they can think up.

With no conscience to hold them back, they've decided that not one day will ever again pass without the most abysmal opinions being expressed about America, Republicans, and George Bush in every national medium possible. Like a leaderless patchwork of revolutionary cells designed by James Carville, Robert Schrum, or Julian Epstein, hidden political operatives spread their malignant spin far and wide by clogging up television airwaves, radio airwaves, and print medium opinion pages with endlessly stupid and hostile assertions designed to weary, demoralize, and knock Conservatives off balance while simultaneously keeping Liberal hatred alive and thereby guarantee a huge, angry Democratic turnout for the next cycle of national elections.

There is no better example of this information crime than C-Span's Washington Journal.

Innocently and in the public interest, C-Span offers an interview and call-in show every morning from 7am to 9 or 10am. There are three phone lines: Republican, Democrat, and Independent. The stated policy is that people must wait 30 days between calls so that everyone who wants to voice their opinion gets a fairly good chance to do it. That would seem to be a good idea in the abstract and on the surface; but in reality, providing those 3 open telephone lines has become the equivalent of passing out box cutters to Arabs at the airport.

It usually starts with the first or second call. The same voices that called the day before: Retired Democratic oldsters with too much time on their hands, unemployed Liberals, super cynical Feminists, Socialist students, black activists, (and even people who sound remarkably like elected Left Wing politicians trying to disguise their voices), they call in on every line with no regard to the party assignment, and no respect for the 30-day rule. In fact, several of them have the audacity to call back twice or more in the same day, spewing new, different hate with each call.

Here are just a few of the notably malicious things that these underground activists have said in the last two weeks:

1. America is the most evil country in the world. We contaminate everything we touch, and we've utterly ruined one traditional culture after another with our endless corporate greed. We deserve all the hate and violence and death they can drop on us.

2. I was brought here kicking and screaming in the belly of a slave ship, and I hate this country!! It's run by a bunch of goddamn fat, white male, Euro-centric racist pigs, and no person of color should ever obey any of the laws!!

3. The Supreme Court ought to be taken out and shot!! They stole the election from "the people" and gave it to that murdering bastard Bush!! Him and his whole damn, thieving, fat cat family should be killed!!

5. I may be an American citizen, but I don't have no loyalty to it. I don't like America, it's a bad country. Everybody hates us.

6. America is finally getting what it deserves. We've ruined their world, now they're fighting back. Good for them!!

7. John Walker Bush isn't my president. Him and his criminal energy buddies killed ENRON, just to steal the pension money of the employees!!

8. Bush has killed hundreds of innocent people in Texas, and now he's killing thousands of innocent people in Afghanistan! He should be arrested and executed for war crimes!!

9. If Americans wants to fight a war against Evil, we should look to ourselves, because we're the most evil people of all time. We've raped the Earth and jammed predatory Capitalism and Christianity down the throats of people too poor to fight back until now.

10. Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson are America's Taliban! They want a Christian Church-State! And Timothy McVeigh was a white male Christian terrorist too, so if we're gonna make war on the Muslims, let's kill all the Christians while we're at it!!

And so it goes. With equally vicious remarks about MultiNational corporations, people who own Jet Skis, or SUV's (or stocks and bonds), the Medical Community, the Pharmaceutical industry, Insurance companies, the Internal Combustion Engine, Carnivores, ..... indeed every single facet of American life from religion to private property is nowadays described in the most detestable and patently false terms, all to service and further the sinister, deliberately hateful apocrypha of issue-driven legends which is the true heart and soul of the Democratic Party.

Absolutely nothing of what they assert is true. Everything they say is a calculated lie, designed to undermine the value of Western Society and pull down the most stable economic institutions of all time, just to punish America for its incredible success.

Such untruthful, punitive, and malignant public language is as much "information-based terrorism" as the outrageous acts of September 11, 2001 were physical terrorism. And these people who say such evil and ridiculous things are indeed "America's Al Qaida." In fact, there's no degree of separation whatsoever between America's Left Wing and the people who want to (and do) kill decent, innocent American citizens and soldiers all over the world.

Indeed, it's an utter disgrace that the death of thousands served to put only a mere week's pause in their daily, endless campaign of open hatred. Now, three months later, they show us their true colors and revel in those deaths. They're enough to make a decent person puke.

A lot of people scoff at these America haters and pass them off as fools, but ..... we ignore them at our peril.

Here's the truth: When our current "War Against Terrorism" is done, when the horns stop blowing and the flags are taken down, when the dogs of war are leashed and sleeping, and when all the glory is over and gone, these ugly, angry, mendacious voices will remain, still spreading their insane deceptions every day, until the essential, remarkable goodness of this great nation is forgotten once again, tarnished and destroyed, buried under the rubble of a billion lies by the Information Terrorism of the Democrats.
