It's odd and curious indeed, after an inspection of their separate views, to realize that the Pro-Abortion Anti-Gun people and the Pro-Gun Anti-Abortion people actually believe and say the exact same things. Though it may seem on the surface that they're as diametrically opposed to each other as two warring factions can be, the truth is that their ideas and agendas mirror each other unerringly, like a well balanced math equation.

1) Liberals believe that there is something inherently evil in every gun, a demonic spirit of Death in the very notion, design, and presence of guns that causes people to kill other people. Similarly, Conservatives believe that there is something inherently evil in abortion, a spirit of Death (probably Satan, whoever he is) in the very notion, design, and presence of the procedure that makes people kill other people.

2) The Liberals assert that they have a "Constitutionally Guaranteed Right" to abortion, and that anyone who interferes with it is obstructing their rights. In return, Conservatives assert that they have a "Constitutionally Guaranteed Right" to own and bear arms, and that anyone who interferes with it is obstructing their rights.

3) The Left does not want the Right to have Guns, while the Right does not want the Left to have Abortions, mutually disavowing each others claims to legal legitimacy. Conservatives insist there's no right to abortions, Liberals insist there's no right to own and bear arms. Arguing from these mutual premises, the Left wants guns to be outlawed and the Right wants abortion to be outlawed.

4) Just as the Left is pro-Abortion and anti-Death Penalty, the Right is pro-Death Penalty and anti-Abortion. The Left cries "Hypocrisy!!" against the Right, claiming a mysterious, eerie equity between killers, rapists, cannibals, and unborn children ("If you want to kill criminals, you should want to kill babies!"). But in fact, the Left is so against the Death Penalty that there is only one capital crime in the whole liberal world: being the inconvenient child of a liberal woman. And, of course, the Right cries "Hypocrisy!!" against the Left, claiming an identical equity between killers, rapists, cannibals, and the Left Wing Abortioneers ("You won't execute the guilty because you're guilty too. But you will kill innocent children, pretending instead that the children are the criminals!").

5) Both sides feel that they have enough moral authority to decide who lives and dies, but that their opposition has no similar authority whatsoever. The Left claims that, in the hands of, and under the ownership of straight, white, Right Wing men, guns are used to terrorize and kill innocent political progressives (like blacks, gays, Liberal women, ethnic minorities, children of diversity, etc). Of course, the Right claims that, under the governance of the sexually perverted Libertine Liberals, Abortion has become an post-conception contraceptive industry, a sadistic network of Nazi-like crematoria devoted solely to the destruction of the physically unwanted and economically inconvenient offspring of Liberal Licentiousness: the innocent unborn.

6) Each side is profoundly secure in its moral authority, both mindsets are utterly rigid, inflexible, and incapable of surrender or even compromise. There is no one so sure in his views of gun rights as a gun owner, and no one so certain in the justice of her cause than a woman hell-bent on destroying the unwanted offspring of her own procreative actions. Neither one could possibly agree with, and thereby support, the other.

7) The Abortion culture says "I don't need or want a handgun, therefore nobody should have one. At the same time, gun owners say "We don't need or want abortions, therefore no one should have one."

8) Each side insists that Life is both valuable (or sacred) and victimized. For the Left, it's the life and psychological well-being of society's pawns, victims, progressives, and (of course) young women old enough to breed. Adults are most important. For the Right, it's the young and uncorrupted lives that count. People become good or bad as life progresses, and we can kill them later, but every conception deserves a chance at life instead of destruction at the hands of a monstrous industry designed to kill it, at the hands of Mengle-like sadists whose sole purpose in life is to extinguish life.

It can easily be said that the 1.3 million abortions per year, (40 million performed in the last 30 years) constitute either a triumph of reproductive sciences or a national social disgrace. More than all the reported rapes, diagnoses of life-endangering pregnancies, and incest-based pregnancies put together, even more than all the international abortions put together, 99% of America's abortions are convenience/contraceptive abortions with no basis whatsoever in "Rape, Incest, or Threat to the Life of the Mother," which were the original legal arguments. And more than 70% of these convenience abortions are "repeat abortions." It's very telling that most of the proponents and purveyors of abortion will condemn the American Meat Industry as "inhumane," condemn guns as "deadly," protest against War, bemoan Racism and Sexism as crimes, yet will euphemize a thirty year's bloody campaign against America's children in the womb (which has claimed more lives than all the 20th Century wars put together) into "a Woman's Right To Choose."

There is a core biological principle that the Leftists have corrupted in order to open the floodgate of abortions: every act of intercourse is an act of procreation, no exceptions. Intercourse is the one single natural human procreative act. But they've added the notion of recreational sex into the mix, and recreational sex is not supposed to create children. Therefore, pregnancies that result from recreational sex are classified as "unintentional," "unwanted," "unanticipated," "unexpected," "unforeseen," "inadvertent," "unwelcome," "unplanned," "surprise," and "accidental" pregnancies because orgasm and ejaculation were the only goals in the first place. Nobody ever wanted a child, just the pleasure. But Nature doesn't make that artificial distinction, every act of intercourse is a procreative act, period. Sex feels good so that people will be drawn to the act, compelled by physical delight to procreate, so there will be human beings a million years from now, so that our very race itself will survive. Carried away by the glamour of biological lust and license, America's young women get pregnant, puree those out of place offspring into oblivion, then go happily on about their lives as if no odious or self-debasing outrage had taken place at all. Quite the opposite. Time and again they're told that abortion actually improves their self-esteem, frees them to pursue their dreams.

An equally dishonorable element in this whole issue is the way the Abortioneers insist that "Women" (as a block) will disobey any law to the contrary and "return to the back alley for abortions." They invoke the spectre of "Back Alley Abortions" performed by sinister men with knives upon hollow-eyed women wandering the night streets looking for secret relief from pregnancy. (In fact, most illegal abortions have been performed by poor women) This assertion says, in effect: the urge to kill her own offspring runs so deeply in the female psyche that, much like salmon driven to swim upstream for thousands of miles then die, women are driven to flout any authority, violate any law, risk any danger, to dispose of their unwanted living children. In other words, women will become criminals if we don't give them the legal authority to kill their babies. This hatred of their young can be traced back into the mists of pre-history. In myth and legend, from Lilith to Kali, women delight in the death and sacrifice of babies. And it seems like this gleeful madness will go on no matter who likes it or not, whether it's legal or not. So we, as a culture, had better recognize their right to kill. It's who they are and it's what they do.

This right to choose Death, to wield Death, and the right to kill under the rubric and color and stripe of self-defense, are closely and jealously guarded privileges. Gun owners feel it very deeply, as do the abortion providers and consumers who equate children in the womb with dangerous murdering, raping cannibals. Once acknowledged, this right to kill must never be taken back.

By way of the Constitution, our "rights" don't come from the government, they come from "God" (whoever or wherever he is) and are merely guaranteed by the government. We never hear the pro-Abortion forces claiming that they have a "God-given Right" to destroy their offspring. They know full well that, as a bunch of deliberately godless (Church v State) butchers, they can't hide behind a "God" who would most certainly condemn their unholy appetites. Instead, they've demanded that the Government create this new right out of whole cloth spun from the right of Privacy (which, in the Leftists' lexicon is equitable with "Secrecy"). And so it has, but the right to kill the unborn is an unarticulated, unenumerated right, clearly not present in the Bill of Rights. Unlike the right to own and bear arms, the right to "Choose" is a governmental fiction created by blackmail, by the "or else" image of women dying by the millions, murdered by gleeful, sniggering Jack the Ripper types lurking in the dark, filthy shadows. To the contrary though, it could be said that women dying in the pursuit of killing their offspring is God's own justice, God's own Death Penalty which affirms the essential humanity of children in the womb. And that's why the Abortioneers hate God so much, because any traditionally moral God stands in direct, absolute opposition to all they (and Liberals in general) believe, say, and do. God shows them up as insatiable fornicators, adulterers, and killers. They respond with Moral Relativism, claiming that sin itself is a fiction, that people are free to follow their own desires without sanctimonious Christian disapproval jammed down their throats.

To be fair, the Right wingers have their own basic misconceptions that lead to logical absurdities. Most notably is the genuine (but silly) subtext of their Anti-Abortion argument: "People shouldn't have promiscuous, unmarried sex in the first place. 99% of abortions can be avoided through abstinence. If you don't have sex, you won't get pregnant, and you won't need an abortion. Choice means choosing not to have sex."

On its surface, that makes sense. However, the Right simply will not see that trying to keep a young Liberal woman from having sex is like trying to keep a tiger from eating a pile of raw meat.

Another harebrained Right Wing notion is that "Adoption can save all the unborn from death." This idea is wrong for three distinct reasons:

A) Liberals rut and breed prodigiously, like rodents. There are not enough couples, straight or gay, to absorb 1.3 million children per year for as many years out as the eye can see. The 40 million aborted children could populate an entire country of their own. No one could possibly accommodate that many babies.

B) Liberal women are terrified of giving birth. They're not particularly stable to begin with, and giving birth is so physically traumatic and thereby dangerous that it's a life-threatening condition all its own. And if one of them is going to die, the mother or the baby, it had best be the baby, and the sooner the better. The adoption model requires birth, and therefore it's not an option. The Liberal girl wants shed of the pregnancy right away, so she can get back to her life, of rutting.

C) Democratic women don't want some package of emotional or economic distress to clot up their future lives. They don't want some 8 or 9 year-old kid on their doorstep, not when things were going so well. " ..... um, ..... Hi ..... Mommy? ..... ?" Not when she and her husband (or lover) are on their way to wealth and success. Left Wing women want the inconvenience extinguished for all time. No future embarrassments. No future shame. No truth.

Shame is something that Democrats heap on others. A life ruined by embarrassment and humiliation is anathema to Liberals, that's why they hate God, Morality, and inconvenient children. Goodness and innocence make them look bad, like a bunch of greedy amoral hedonists with no self-control. Oops.

D) Democratic Women are driven by psychologically archetypal and celestial forces to destroy their young, and they will always obey their own natural impulses rather than obey the law. The law be damned. They act out of a magical, cosmic authority which trumps any contrary social convention. Women own their babies, and can kill them at will. In fact, they like it. Inconvenient babies are a threat to the Goddess, a female "Oedipus" analog. Killing children gives vent to an ironic mythic rage, a violent force of Nature above the laws of man.

The right to kill your enemies, and to delight in that killing is the bottom-most theme common to each mindset.
